Organisation Structure - Anga Whakahaere

Te Tumuaki (Executive)

Te Tumuaki of Ngati Kapo consists of five positions. The Year 2003 to 2005 office holders are:

  • Mr Maaka Tibble (President)
  • Mr Nigel Ngahiwi (Vice President)
  • Mrs Mereana Hemara (Secretary)
  • Mr Steven Stevens (Treasurer)
  • (Executive member)

The key role of Te Tumuaki are to govern the society encompassing the development of regional, national and international strategies in accordance with the society’s strategic plan.

Operations Manager

  • Christine Cowan.

The key role of this position is to manage the day to day operations of the society including the recruitment and supervision of Ngati Kapo employees, operational and financial systems and implementation of the society’s strategic plan.

National Administrator

  • Kania Worsley.

The key role of this position is to maintain the central administration office and entails disseminating information to members, coordinating information between Te Tumuaki and its stakeholders, maintaining administration records, receiving and distributing information to Kaiwhakahaere and providing secretarial and administrative support to Te Tumuaki, Operations Manager and Kaiwhakahaere

National Project Co-ordinator

  • Mere Courtis.

The key role of this position is to co ordinate the society’s activities/projects at a regional level. Responsibilities include coordination of information between members and national operations; providing support to individual members and Ngāti Kāpo ropu; assisting members and ropu in linking with their peers and community; liaising with local community stakeholders (government and non government); initiating and/or participating in hui to promote the services of the society.
